Parents send their kids off to college with the hope that they can function of independent young adults who can adjust and adapt to dorm living, being away from home, getting enough nutrition and sleep, maintaining good grades, and balancing partying (drugs/alcohol) with academics. Parents worry when their kids are not able to adjust to living away from college.
