Ariel Virk, LPC

About Ariel

People tell me I have a unique way of  connecting with adolescents and adults in their 20's and 30's. I think  it's important to recognize and connect to my clients, one way I do this  is to ask my clients to bring something that is important to them to a  session - such as art, a journal, makeup, music or a musical instrument,  or even

People tell me I have a unique way of  connecting with adolescents and adults in their 20's and 30's. I think  it's important to recognize and connect to my clients, one way I do this  is to ask my clients to bring something that is important to them to a  session - such as art, a journal, makeup, music or a musical instrument,  or even their pet.

My  approach is warm, accepting and interactive. My focus is to try to ask  the right questions so that the clients can find the answers inside,  thereby creating a space for my clients to be their authentic selves.   My goal in therapy is to get my clients to sit, feel, experience their  emotions and to help equip my clients with the skills needed to manage  these emotions.

To  me counseling isn't just about what the client is sharing, but in  looking underneath to figure out what happened to cause the feelings and  behaviors.

Ariel's focus of concentration and training include both clinical trauma and child and adolescent therapy.   Ariel  identifies as biracial and a therapist of color.  Ariel brings a  multi-cultural approach to her work and our practice.  Ariel is keenly  aware of the importance of maintaining cultural competency throughout  the process of therapy.

Ariel addresses any environmental, racial, intergenerational, and ancestral traumas experienced by her clients.   Ariel works to promote advocacy for marginalized groups and is  Spanish-speaking proficient.

Ariel  is available for virtual, or in person sessions. Her office is located  in Doylestown, PA with easy access from New Hope, Yardley and  surrounding areas
